We cleared out our china cabinet to display our Christmas village houses.
It is rewarding to express myself through my creations. They serve to tell my family's story, to share with others, and selfishly to feed my desire to create. Along with capturing moments, I enjoy journaling to portray life and what it feels like to live in the moment. It will remind me of what my life was like when I see it in 10 years time. How great it is to be able to reflect on all the milestones.

Christmas Card Display
I love to display all our beautiful Christmas cards we receive from friends and family! I hung out cards on a garland...simple and sweet.
Christmas Wrap
Brown paper packages...tied up with strings! This is a fun way to wrap presents! It looks beautiful under our tree and fits our country Christmas theme.
Mistle-toes!
This makes a great gift for grandparents or to create a memento for your family. Love those sweet baby feet! I bought a tin charter plate, enamel pairs, and brushes at Hobby Lobby. You will need red, blue, yellow, and black colors of paint. The colorful lights were created using my daughter's thumb print. The final touch, once the paint dries, is a clear spray so the paint wouldn't chip. This is one of my favorite creations we have made so far!

Give Thanks!
I made these pilgrim hat name holders to personalize our Thanksgiving table and to add some fun decoration. I spray painted Dixie cups black. Then glued them upside down onto black card stock circles I cut out. I finished the decoration with textured paper and glued a bundle of wheat tied with twine.

My Daughter's First Birthday
I chose a butterfly garden theme for my daughter's first birthday. According to Native Mythology, the butterfly represents the four stages of development: the egg, the larva, the chrysalis, the butterfly. They represent freedom and growth. My daughter is very much a free spirit! Everyday is a metamorphosis! She is growing up to be more and more beautiful on the inside and out!
